MORE MEN GETTING BOTOX APPARENTLY AS AMMUNITION IN BATTLE OF THE SEXES

The wrinkle medicine "Botox is used by 100,000 Britons a year. And according to statistics published last week by Transform, Britain’s leading cosmetic surgery group, a fifth of all patients are now men. In the past 12 months, there’s been a 50 per cent increase in male patients signing up for Botox treatment".

Botox is injected into the muscles, reducing muscle contraction for a period of three to six months. The treatment is designed to break the habit of frowning or squinting and so reduce the appearance of the lines and also reduce the development of further facial lines. After Botox treatment it takes 2-3 days for the effects to start to be seen reaching its maximum effect at 7-10 days. The treatment can last from to 3-6 months, on average 4 months.
