You know the type. Anger hostility and the heart. Maybe he's the boss, a relative or a business associate. A report that's not on time. A charge on a bill that he thinks is unjustified. A study Anger and Hostility Predict the Development of Atrial Fibrillation in Men in the Framingham Offspring Study said that there was an association in men between anger, a quick hostile temper and the development of a heart rhythm abnormality.






The research, which appeared in the journal, Circulation said that hostile quick tempered men get more atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation is a disorderly heart rhythm that starts in the upper chambers of the heart. Normally, a regular orderly impulse is sent from the right atrium of the heart starting at a site called the SA node. The SA Node is sort of a "broadcast station" for the signal generation. In atrial fibrillation there are too many uncoordinated signals coming from the top of the heart down into the ventricles and the heart pumps in a less coordinated fashion. Too little blood may be pumped out and the person feels weak dizzy or faint.
