How can people live longer? There are literally tens of thousands of people over 100. In Japan alone, there are over 30,000 centenarians!

The Gavrilovs,long time researchers in gerontology (aging) studied the health records of dozens of centenarians to find out why they had lived so long. They analyzed the records of 171 men born in 1887 who reached the age of 100".












    If you eat fewer calories while still getting a well balanced nutritional diet,the chances are good that you will live longer.Calorie restriction (within limits) seems to be associated with living longer. This has been shown in a number of species.

    But Leonid Gavrilov was quoted as saying "Our initial expectation was that thin people would live longer.But it really does not do much, compared with medium body build". "They discovered that not eating too much, but also not eating too little, was key to a long life, as was having more than four children by the age of 30 and working on the land".
